How and Why Location Data Is Used
Runora is a GPS-based fitness tracking application. To provide its core features, the app collects precise location data only when you start an active run.
Location data is used to:
- Track your running or walking route
- Calculate distance, pace, and duration
- Display your route on a map
- Ensure accurate workout records
Background Location Access
Runora may access your location in the background during an active run session so that tracking continues accurately when:
- The screen is locked
- The app is minimized
- You switch to another app (e.g., music player)
Location tracking stops immediately when you press “Stop Run.”
What Runora Does NOT Do
- We do not track your location when no run is active
- We do not collect location data continuously
- We do not use location data for advertising or marketing
- We do not sell location data to third parties
You can enable or disable location permissions at any time through your device settings.
Camera and Media Access
If you choose to upload a profile picture or activity image, Runora may request access to your device’s camera or photo library. This access is optional and controlled by your device permissions.
