Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Personal Data

We may collect the following information when you create an account, update your profile, or use the Service:

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically and may include:

Optional Profile Health Information

Runora may collect optional profile health information such as date of birth, age, gender, height, weight, blood group, and BMI-related fitness category when you choose to provide it.

This information is used to personalize running goals, wellness insights, fitness suggestions, hydration guidance, recovery tips, birthday greetings, challenge recommendations, and AI coaching features.

Providing this information is optional. Some personalization features may be limited if this information is not provided.

Dourai AI Coach and Conversation History

Runora includes Dourai AI Coach, which may use your profile information, workout history, recent app activity, and chat messages to provide personalized running, walking, recovery, hydration, nutrition, and motivation guidance.

Runora may store a limited recent conversation history locally on your device to improve conversation continuity. This may include your recent messages and AI replies.

AI responses are for general fitness, wellness, motivation, and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice and should not replace consultation with a qualified professional.

Location Data

How and Why Location Data Is Used

Runora is a GPS-based fitness tracking application. To provide its core features, the app collects precise location data only when you start an active walk, run, or challenge activity.

Location data is used to:

Background Location Access

Runora may access your location in the background during an active run, walk, or challenge session so tracking continues when the screen is locked, the app is minimized, or you switch to another app.

On Android, Runora may use a foreground service and persistent notification during an active run or challenge to continue tracking elapsed time, distance, pace, and route when the app is minimized, the screen is locked, or the app is removed from recent apps.

Location tracking stops when you stop the activity.

Weather and Safety Intelligence

Runora may use your current location to provide weather intelligence, air quality insights, outdoor running safety scores, and activity recommendations for running, walking, cycling, trail activity, or swimming.

What Runora Does NOT Do

Camera and Media Access

If you upload a profile picture, activity image, or share card image, Runora may request access to your camera or photo library. This access is optional and controlled by your device permissions.

Health, Wellness, and Activity Insights

Runora may provide general wellness features such as metabolic health score, walking goals, activity insights, blood sugar awareness tips, meal habit guidance, energy and fitness guidance, BMI-related messaging, and diabetes-related lifestyle awareness.

These features may be generated from your activity data and optional profile information, such as walking/running distance, duration, active days, streaks, workout history, age, height, weight, gender, and blood group.

Runora does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent diabetes or any other disease. Health scores, wellness insights, walking targets, and activity suggestions are for general information, awareness, and motivation only.

You should not use Runora as a replacement for medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication decisions, diet prescriptions, glucose management, or emergency care.

Doctor Wellness Support

Runora may offer access to licensed doctors or wellness professionals for general guidance related to walking habits, meal habits, blood sugar awareness, lifestyle improvement, energy, fitness, and preventive wellness education.

Doctor support inside Runora is intended for general wellness guidance and awareness only, unless clearly stated otherwise by the doctor during a consultation.

For urgent symptoms, chest pain, severe weakness, pregnancy-related concerns, medication changes, glucose emergencies, sexual health concerns, or any serious medical issue, you should consult a qualified doctor directly or seek emergency medical care.
